Indian state-run metal producer National Aluminium Co (NALCO) has raised aluminium prices by Rs 5,000 per tonne in the domestic market, a senior company official said on Sunday.
"The revision in prces was done to match rising prices on the LME (London Metal Exchange)," a senior company official who did not wish to be named identified due to company policy, told Reuters.
He said the basic price of standard aluminium ingots had been increased to Rs 145,200 a tonne and that of standard aluminium sow ingots to Rs 145,150 per tonne.
