Maruti Dzire Regal to be pitted against Honda Amaze

New Delhi: Fresh on the heels of the Honda
Amaze launch, Maruti Suzuki India has announced its limited edition
‘Regal’. The car is the new variant of Maruti’s fast-selling Dzire.
Though
Maruti aims to directly take on the Honda Amaze which was launched with
much fanfare two days ago, Maruti has priced the Regal slightly above
the Amaze. The limited edition 'Regal' variant will come at a price of
Rs 5.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The car will be available only in petrol version.
Regal
will have classy interiors, rear parking sensor, electric ORVM’s with
body color, silver colored front grille, advanced music system, leather
upholstery.
Maruti reported 4.78 percent decline in its total
sales in March at 1,19,937 units from 1,25,952 units in the same month
last year.
For the entire 2012-13 financial year, however, the
company's total sales increased by 3.33 percent to 11,71,434 units from
11,33,695 units in 2011-12, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a
statement.
Sales of MSI's DZiRE model however increased by 22.05
percent to 20,078 units from 16,451 units in the corresponding period a
year ago.
