Nissan Motor India shuffles top management
The firm names Kenichiro Yomura as president of its India operations, and appoints Ajay Raghuvanshi as vice-president, business management

Mumbai: Nissan Motor Co. has named Kenichiro Yomura as president of its India operations. Yomura, who will report to corporate vice-president for Africa, Middle East and India, Toru Hasegawa, will concurrently hold the position of managing director and chief executive for Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd and would be based at the company’s Chennai headquarters.
Yomura’s mandate would include manufacturing, research and development and joint venture businesses, the company said in a statement. This will accelerate strategic decision-making and streamline operational efficiency to help achieve its objective of securing 10% market share in 2016, the company said.
Yomura was till recently overseeing Nissan’s operations in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, the company has also appointed Ajay Raghuvanshi as vice-president, business management, responsible for supporting pricing, marketing, sales and operations. Prior to this assignment, Raghuvanshi was the national head for dealer development and rural sales operations forHyundai Motor India India Ltd and the business head for the western zone.
