'Vonn-inspired' Woods starts in 'winning fashion' in Augusta

London, Apr 12 (ANI): World No.1 Tiger Woods seems to have been inspired by his Olympic ski champion girlfriend Lindsey Vonn who was watching him as he hit a good opening score of 70 on the first day of the Augusta National.
Woods, who had also scored 70 when he won his first three Green Jackets, however, had an erratic opening when he hit a fan on the leg with his second shot on the 2nd hole and then hit a beer being held by another spectator with his tee shot on three, the Mirror reports.
However, the report said that the presence of Vonn seemed to be a good luck charm for the 14 Majors winner as he stalled his momentum at the 14th hole with a three-putt bogey and signed for a two-under par score, which was the same as in 1997, 2001 and 2002.
Woods said that he had a good start to the Masters, adding that he had a solid day.
Interestingly, the report mentioned that Vonn, who is recovering from knee surgery, only walked the first hole before retreating to the Augusta National clubhouse.
Although Vonn rued her difficulty in walking because of the hilly terrain at the putting green in Augusta, she said that she will be at the tournament till the end to give moral support to Woods.
Ironically, Kim Kardashian's estranged husband Kris Humphries was close to Vonn at the very same time the golfer came to her life, according to a source, who added that that Humphries was 'bachelor number 2' for Vonn. (ANI)
