With 17 new models, Nikon India hopes its new Coolpix Spring Series 2013 will create a massive impact in the Indian market. All the cameras feature Nikon's Nikkor lenses.

Nikon's flagship camera in this new series is undoubtedly the Coolpix A, equipped with a DX-format CMOS sensor and has a wide-angle 18.5mm, f/2.8 fixed focal length Nikkor lens that promises results comparable with DSLRs.

Like Sony's DSC RX100, this one too can capture images in RAW format. This camera will be priced at Rs 54,950, which is much expensive than the RX100.

The Coolpix P series will now have the P520 and P330, with the former boasting a 42X optical zoom Nikkor lens. This lens is equivalent of a 1000mm focal length which takes it into the telephoto category. This range is priced between Rs 16,950 and Rs 24,950.

The funky S series now has nine new models featuring Wi-Fi compatibility and built-in GPS. This is a more affordable range with prices starting Rs 5,950 and going up to Rs 18,950.

The four new models in the L-Series aims to bring ultra-high power optical zoom to affordable entry-level cameras. These are priced between Rs 15,450 and Rs 4,990.
