Suprio Guha Thakurta takes on additional charge at The Economist

Suprio Guha Thakurta, Managing Director, The Economist India will take
on the additional responsibility of the Asia Pacific circulation
business as Managing Director - Circulation, Asia-Pacific, The
Economist.
Tim Pinnegar, Publisher and Managing Director, Asia Pacific, The
Economist Group said, “While we aim to maintain a strong print
circulation in Asia, the migration to digital reading is picking up pace
and creating opportunities to reach new audiences and alter our
production and distribution costs.”
He further said, “Currently, we split the management of the circulation
business in the region into Asia ex-India and India. In order to
benefit the evaluation of new audiences and the allocation of marketing
investment I have decided to bring together the two circulation
businesses under one head.”
Guha Thakurta will take on his new role from April 1, 2013.
