Three in four job applicants never heard back from employer
In the report, some 26% of respondents cited a lack of follow-through, inconsistencies from the employer or poor representation of the company’s brand as the primary culprits.
Three quarters of workers who applied for jobs never heard back from the employer, while 60% said that the employer never bothered letting them know of the decision after the interview.
In addition, 43% of respondents reported that they found out during the interview that the job did not match what was written in the job ad.
Findings show that for workers who are dissatisfied with the way their application is handled by an employer, they would never seek employment at the company again (42%), tell others not to work there (22%) and tell others not to purchase products or services from the company (nine per cent).
