MOBILE NEWS: Vine launches on Windows Phone

windowsphone.jpgTwitter’s six second video app Vine has launched on Windows Phone.
Unlike the Android and apple app, the Windows version utilises the smartphone’s camera technology. Users will be able to use all their smartphone’s camera features to affect images recorder in the app.
Plus, the app allows users to pin their favourite Vine accounts to their homescreen, and use ‘pivots’ to switch between apps.
Vine’s launch on Microsoft’s mobile OS paves the way for other apps to migrate over to the platform. So far, Path and Flipboard have said they plan to develop a Windows Phone app.
Ryan Swigart, designer at Vine announced the news in a blogpost. He said: ‘Today, we’re launching Vine for Windows Phone, making it easy for even more people to capture and share life in motion.
‘We love to see what each person contributes to Vine, and we’re excited to welcome Windows Phone users to the community.’
