Coca-Cola India launches Coca-Cola University on Wheels

The red army is marching towards rural India. Armed with a customised bus bubbling with ideas, Coca-Cola India has launched a training programme for mom and pop retailers in tier II and III towns across India. The initiative called 'Coca-Cola University on Wheels' has been rolled out as part of Coca-Cola University's larger retail training programme—Parivartan (a positive change).
"The idea is to help these retailers develop skills to survive, compete, sustain and grow in a fast changing retail scenario in the country," said Dr Ramesh C Datta, director, Coca-Cola University. In a two-hour session, around 20 retailers at a time (typical small-300 sq ft kirana shop owners) are being taught the tricks of the trade with the help of plasma TVs, laptops and LCD project
