Fri, 16 Mar 2012 21:35:00

MediaCom has secured 27 shortlist entries for the 2012 Festival of Media Awards, the best performance by any agency.

Sixteen separate campaigns from 10 different markets have been shortlisted, covering a wide range of sectors and brands including Hasbro, KFC and Duracell, as well as anti-racism activity in Norway and a campaign against landmines in Israel.

Six of the top 10 advertisers named in the shortlist are MediaCom clients with three nominations each for AkzoNobel, Canon, Dell, GSK, Mokesh - The Coalition for Mine Free Israel and VW.

MediaCom's success with this year's Festival of Media Awards shortlist follows on from being named Agency Network of the Year at the M&M Awards in 2011 for the third year in a row and being named Agency Network of the Year at the 2010 Festival of Media Awards.

"MediaCom's consistently high performance in global awards shows that day in, day out, our teams are producing some of the best media work in the world. Our aim has always been that MediaCom should deliver great, quality work for our clients in each and every market across the network. Our consistent success with shortlisted entries from around the globe demonstrates that both advertisers and our competitors alike recognise that we are leading the industry in creating exciting and innovative campaigns that engage consumers," said Stephen Allan, Worldwide Chairman and CEO.
