SpiceJet, GoAir slash fares by 25% on some routes

SpiceJet slashes fares by 25% on some domestic flights and by 15% on international ones for travel until 11 December

A Delhi-Mumbai SpiceJet ticket will be available for Rs.8,636 all-inclusive, compared with Rs.10,098 earlier this week, while a Delhi-Kabul ticket will cost Rs.11,036 compared with Rs.12,161 earlier.


New Delhi: Budget carrier SpiceJet Ltd has slashed fares by 25% on some of its domestic flights and by 15% on international flights for travel until 11 December—provided the tickets are booked on Friday (6 December). Other airlines may follow suit.
The lower fares apply to about a dozen sectors each in the domestic and international networks.
 
 
A Delhi-Mumbai SpiceJet ticket will be available for Rs.8,636 all-inclusive, compared with Rs.10,098 earlier this week, while a Delhi-Kabul ticket will cost Rs.11,036 compared with Rs.12,161 earlier.
Cancellation charges on these tickets will be Rs.2,000 for domestic bookings and Rs.2,500 for international bookings, the airline said. The same fee would apply to any changes made.
 
 Till early noon on Friday, other airlines, excluding GoAir, had not matched the fares of SpiceJet—usually a standard practice by rival airlines. GoAir fares were at Rs.7,999 on the Delhi-Mumbai sector, according to travel portal Yatra.com.
