Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Gear smartwatch to be launched in India today

New Delhi: Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear in India today. The gadgets will however hit the stores on September 25.

Samsung's galaxy gear smartwatch features a 1.63-inch (4.14-cm) screen as well as a basic camera, and will connect to Samsung's latest Galaxy Note 3 smartphone via wireless Bluetooth technology. It will make calls, display messages, record videos and snap photos, all while the user's phone stays in their pocket or handbag.

The Galaxy Note 3 features a 5.7-inch full full HD Super AMOLED (1920 x 1080) screen, the latest Exynos 5 Octa processor clocked at 1.9GHz and a 13-megapixel camera. It runs on the latest Android Jelly Bean 4.3 version. The Note III features a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor (LTE Version) and a 1.9 GHz Octa-core processor (3G version).

Samsung has not revealed the price of either products. Samsung had last week started combo deal for the two for a pre-booking amount of just Rs 2,000 in India. The Galaxy Note 3 is also available for a pre-booking amount of Rs 2,000 without the Galaxy Gear.
